| It goes to the credit
of Dr. A.N. Khosla, the then Governor of Orissa, for introducing
the DAV movement in the state in 1968. He had been the
office bearer of the DAV society for years togather and
very well understood the role of this movement in the
spread of literacy and technical education, in the remote
areas of the state. The DAV society has now established
a chain of DAV Public Schools in this state and is in
a breathless attempt to add more and more feathers to
its crown owing to the trust of the people in perpetuating
an innovative technique of educational programme.
The DAV Public School in Bhubaneswar,
managed by the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi
have been functioning with the able administration of
their respective School Management Committee, who are
always with constructive suggestions and immediate solution
at the hour of need of these institutions. These schools
are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education,
New Delhi.
With a view to aryanising the Public
School System, the School endeavors to enable students
to imbibe the basic elements of our Culture. Stress is
laid on the universal aspects of Indian Culture and students
are introduced to the rich spiritual heritage which transcends
the narrow limits of cast, color, stat, language and creed.
Emphasis is laid on the practical aspects of mortality
and all the academic and co-curricular activities go a
long way to build an atmosphere in which students imbibe
the time honoured values of life which we cherish the
most.
